Our Voice Teachers

Jumi Lee Kim

I believe that our voice is one of the most precious and special gifts we possess. Each voice is unique, and singing is something we all can do. Singing provides us with such a beautiful way to express ourselves whether we sing alone or together. I have experience in teaching both private and ensemble voice lessons, helping my students to understand the piece as well as developing in them the skills necessary to sing it and express it. I enjoy teaching classical, contemporary, musical theater, folk songs, church music and Disney songs. I teach not only vocal music but also music theory, sight singing, solfege and often use the Kodaly method for small ensembles.  

Ms. Kim attended an art high school for voice and received her Bachelors in Voice as a summa cum laude and did course work towards a Masters in Education of Music in Seoul, Korea. She also received her Masters in Voice from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2006. She received opera experience in Sonoma State University and in the Bay Area. Ms. Kim received the first place in the Redwood Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing in 2004. She sang with the San Francisco Concert Chorale from 2004-05. She also has experience as a vocal coach with the San Francisco Korean Children’s Choir. She sang as the soloist with the Korean Symphony Orchestra at Herbst Theatre in 2011 and 2012. Ms. Kim served as a soloist at the San Francisco Korean Methodist Church for five years. She is currently singing as a member of the Valley Concert Chorale and New Choir. She sang the soprano solos for Handel Messiah and Faure Requiem with the Valley Concert Chorale in 2010-16 and Viva La Musica in 2014 and 2015. She currently teaches Hymnal and church music history at the Berkeley Christian College since 2014. She studied Music Education with Kodaly Emphasis and Coral Conducting at Holy Names University and also holds Kodaly music certification from Holy Names University. She was music director at OPUS youth Choir from 2017- 2019. She is currently an active member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California and a teacher for its VOCE program. She is an evaluator for voice in MTAC from 2026. She has a private voice studio in San Ramon.

Victoria Mannah

Music is the universal language of mankind.” As a teacher, I strive to help my students speak this language with fluency, confidence, and joy. Born into a family of singers, I like to say I came into the world singing the “Hallelujah Chorus.” I believe every student has a unique voice waiting to be discovered, and I’m passionate about guiding them to find it. Through a blend of strong vocal technique and musical expression, I help students build the skills they need to reach new heights—and new notes—on their musical journey.

Victoria’s vocal journey began in elementary school and flourished in high school as a member of the award-winning Mt. Eden Chamber Singers, a group recognized by both the American Choral Directors Association and the California Music Educators Association. During her time with the ensemble, Victoria had the privilege of performing on several national stages, including the prestigious Carnegie Hall.

Victoria earned her degree in Musical Theatre Performance from California State University, East Bay. As a professional performer, she appears regularly with companies such as Lamplighters Musical Theatre in San Francisco and South Bay Musical Theatre in San Jose.

With experience teaching musical theatre, pop, classical, a cappella, and contemporary styles, Victoria welcomes students of all ages and experience levels. Her lessons emphasize vocal health, emotional expression, solid technique, and a strong foundation in music theory. Whether you’re preparing for an audition, exploring new genres, or simply singing for joy, Victoria is dedicated to helping you find and grow your voice.

Patrycja Poluchowicz

I am a classically trained singer and I use this training to teach all genres. I love teaching my students to sing everything from pop, to musical theater, to opera. I choose pieces that are appropriate for the student's age, voice type, and temperament. I encourage all my students to explore different styles, which gives them the opportunity to grow and reach their full potential.

When I was growing up, I was very shy and introverted. Vocal lessons and singing on stage gave me a huge boost of self-esteem and confidence. I learned how to control my emotions and give my very best. During my classes, I teach my students how to open up and deliver an expressive performance and that means very often going outside their comfort zone. This skill is not only valuable on stage, but also extremely useful in life.

When Patrycja Poluchowicz launched her singing career in her native Poland at age 12, she focused mainly on the pop and musical-theater genres. Later on, she developed an interest in and everlasting love for classical music, graduating from the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland, with a master of arts degree in vocal music and acting.

Patrycja made her professional debut at Poland's Grand Theater, where she sang the roles of Susanna in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro and of Pamina in The Magic Flute. In 2001, Patrycja moved to the United States and earned a second master's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

Patrycja's many roles in opera and musical-theater productions have included the Countess (The Marriage of Figaro) at the Cowell Theater in San Francisco; Papagena (The Magic Flute) with the West Bay Opera; Olympia (The Tales of Hoffmann) at the Bay Area Summer Opera Theater Institute; and, recently, Anna (The Haunted Manor) with the Pocket Opera. Patrycja was also part of the Sarasota Opera's Young Artists Program in Florida, where she performed in many concerts and opera productions.

Her CD, "The Wonderful World of Opera and Operetta," was recorded with the Opole Symphony Orchestra and was released to great success. Patrycja teaches voice lessons to all ages at Inspire Academy. She also created the Tots & Tykes Program at Inspire Academy.

Bailey Sako

My goal in teaching voice lessons is to help students become well-rounded and versatile musicians, by giving them guidance and coaching in not just vocal technique, but also in sight reading, music theory, and music history. I believe that having these skills allows my students to take a deeper appreciation of music and apply it on their own to anything they sing. Through this balanced education I also hope to instill in them a long-lasting love and enjoyment of music that lasts the rest of their life.

Bailey Sako is a graduate of the University of Redlands where she received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Bailey began her singing education at the age of six and spent eleven years performing with Cantabella Children’s Chorus, where she is now the Director of Children’s Choir. While performing with Cantabella, they received awards at the World Choir Festival in South Korea and medaled numerous times at the Golden Gate Interational Choral Festival, among many other festivals and performances. During her time at the University of Redlands, Bailey was a part of many different vocal groups, including two different collegiate-level choirs, and was the director of an all-female a capella group called The Redlands Rhapsodies. Bailey has experience singing a wide variety of genres, including pop, musical theater, opera, and classical art songs. While at Redlands, she was trained in classical vocal technique and performed a number of solo recitals. Bailey has taught both voice and music theory up to the collegiate level, both in one-on-one and class settings.
