Franz Liszt

Hungarian composer, pianist, conductor, organist and teacher. Studied piano with Czerny.

Alexander Siloti

Russian pianist, conductor, composer and Professor at Moscow Conservatory and Julliard School. One of Liszt’s favorite students. Taught his cousin Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Konstantin Igumnov

Russian pianist and teacher. Classmate of Rachmaninoff and Scriabin.

Lev Oborin

Russian pianist, composer and teacher. 40 years professor at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Mikhail Voskresensky

(b. 1935)
Russian pianist and teacher, prize winner of Van Cliburn, Schumann, Enescu and Rio de Janeiro Competitions. Oborin’s favorite student, then assistant. Over 50 years professor at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Russian pianist of Republic of Georgia origin. Teacher, First Prize winner of the Schumann International Competition in Zwickau, Germany. Voskresensky’s favorite student at the Moscow Tchaikowsky Conservatory.
